Night DriveMidnight had set upon the spit of road with no name running through the Mojave Desert. Not even the moon, which usually lit up the desert like a lamp, was absent, leaving only the weak starlight to adorn the black sky.Night Drive
Yet even though the road was unknown, barely kept up to city standards, and rarely used, a lone car pulled onto it, its' headlights off, with only the deep rumble of its' engine letting the desert rats, lizards, and foxes know that someone was pulling in. The engines' RPM's flared before the driver cut it, sending the road into silence. The driver sat still for a moment, an ear perked through the open window, then
